The Best iPad to Buy (and a Few to Avoid)

The Best of the Best iPads to buy in 2022-2023 (and some to avoid)

First I would like to give you some general advice when choosing an iPad whenever you plan to buy anytime. When choosing an iPad, you should consider your needs and budget, as well as the features and capabilities of different models.

Here are some things to consider when choosing an iPad.

Size:

iPads come in a variety of sizes, from the compact iPad mini to the large iPad Pro. Consider the size that is most comfortable for you to wear and use.

Display:

iPads have high-quality displays, but display resolutions and sizes vary. Consider the screen size and resolution that best suit your needs.

Processor:

The iPad's processor plays a key role in its performance and speed. If you plan to use your iPad for resource-intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing, we recommend choosing a model with a faster processor.

Storage:

iPad storage capacities vary from 32 GB to 1 TB. Consider how much storage you need based on the types of apps and files you store on your device. Connectivity:

If you plan to use your iPad for tasks such as video conferencing or streaming, you should consider the connectivity options available on various models. Some iPads support faster 5G connections, while others are limited to 4G or Wi-Fi only.

Price:

Depending on the model and device, iPads can range in price from a few hundred euros to over 1,000 euros. Decide on a budget and find an iPad that fits your needs within that budget.

Right then this being clear now , now let's talk about Best iPads to buy in 2022-2023

New boards are here consistently. Let us help you choose the right Apple tablet for your needs.
Buying an iPad is easy. Just get all the new stuff, right? only if. All of these devices look pretty much the same, so it's important to know what you're buying and how much you're paying. This guide covers the best iPads available today, the future, key differences between models, and older models (including models you should never buy).

iPad Air 5th generation on a white table

Apple iPad Air (2022, 5th generation)
The iPad Air just got  more professional.

Specifications

Display Size:

10.9 inch Processor:

M1 Storage Options:

64GB, 256GB Apple Pencil Compatibility

The latest iPad released in April 2022,  5th generation iPad Air. Apple has made its mid-range tablet  more professional, with the same M1 processor as the 2021 iPad Pro. In testing the new tablet, we found that the chip combined with the excellent 1640 x 2360 Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen makes the iPad Air a true iPad Pro-lite at a more affordable price. It's really close now  unless you can find a discount.

It's also more portable than the iPad Pro 12.9. The new iPad Air's compact size  makes it an extremely versatile device for word processing, digital sketching, gaming, messaging, and more. It also offers five attractive color options compared to the two colors offered on the iPad Pro. The 64 GB  storage offered by the base device is small, so if you're working with a lot of media, you'll probably want to use the 256 GB version. For more info, see iPad Air (5th Generation, 2022) . ) Check out our full review and our iPad Air 5 Best Price Guide to find the cheapest price in your area.

iPad mini with Pencil
Perfect for most
Apple iPads (2021, 9th generation)

For entry-level users until Apple announces his 10th generation tablet in September or October. If for some reason you can't wait, the 9th generation iPad can help. The most economical iPad is also the best tablet for most users. It's the same size and shape as its predecessor, so it works with all current accessories, including the first-generation Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The 10.2-inch screen retains the home button and wide bezels around it, making it the most powerful tablet in its price range. True Tone is a screen feature that adjusts the color temperature of your display based on the ambient lighting for a more realistic look. The real star of the show is the 12MP front camera that takes center stage. A feature on the iPad Pro that allows you to monitor the camera during a video call. (The camera position is a bit awkward.) The screen-to-glass distance is due to the fully laminated display not found on all other iPad models. This simply means that navigating the screen doesn't feel as precise as on other iPads. This is especially noticeable when using a pencil.
APPLE $329

The highly mobile iPad Mini looks nothing like the iPad Mini that came before it (8/10, WIRED Recommended). Apple's 2021 update mimics the design of the iPad Pro, with narrower bezels around the 8.3-inch screen. Slightly shorter than its predecessor and with a compact size, it's the perfect board to take anywhere. You might even be able to slip it into your cargo pocket. It doesn't have a home button, but it doesn't support Face ID. Like the iPad Air, Touch ID is built into the sleep/wake button. Add a cellular plan and you'll also get Sub-6 5G connectivity, but the best part is the USB-C charging port, so you can charge it with your MacBook charger. has been updated to allow the stylus to be magnetically attached to the edge and charged at the same time. Don't fall off your desk!

$499 from Apple

Perfect for getting work done And the MacBook Air is arguably the most powerful tablet in its price range. The design hasn't changed from the 2020 version, with the same 10.9-inch LCD screen, slim bezels, USB-C port, and Touch ID integrated into the power button at the top. Also, the 2nd generation Apple Pencil (Amazon) and Smart and Magic Keyboard are also supported. What's new Apple has added Sub-6 5G support (if you choose the cellular version) and a selfie camera with a higher resolution 12-megapixel sensor (and Center Stage support).

This tablet is lightweight and almost as compact as a standard iPad, but with a larger screen that makes working more comfortable. However, multitasking on iPadOS is still not as easy as on a MacBook.

The Ultimate iPad

Apple iPad Pro (2021, 5th generation 12.9 inch, 3rd generation 11 inch)
October may see a new iPad Pro series. As such, we do not recommend purchasing an iPad Pro at this time. Future models aren't expected to add many new features, saving an updated processor and potential support for Apple's MagSafe accessory system. If you're still considering the existing lineup, here's what you need to know. The iPad Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) comes in two sizes
11 inch and 12.9 inch. The latter is itself in a class. You won't find many other large panels, and the size is especially good if you plan to canvas with the Apple Pencil. The display is even more impressive. The 12.9-inch is the only iPad to use Apple's mini LED display backlight technology. It's still an LCD, but it adds thousands more LEDs to zone-illuminate the screen for better contrast, dynamic range, and brightness. I preferred it to my 24-inch iMac for watching movies.

These iPad Pro models also use the same M1 chip as Apple's MacBooks. Software needs to catch up to harness all that power, but improvements in iPadOS 16 make it more versatile. These are the only iPads with Face ID, ProMotion. ProMotion offers a 120 Hz screen refresh rate for smoother scrolling. Four speakers deliver better sound quality, and more microphones pick up your voice more clearly. This is the first time it's center stage, and the rear camera is complemented by an ultra-wide-angle lens to capture the expansive scene. I don't use AR apps much, but there is also a lidar sensor for accurate augmented reality features.Like the Air, it supports Magic Keyboard and Smart Keyboard.

$799 at Apple
$1,050 at Amazon (11 inch)
$1,349 at Amazon (12.9 inch, 512GB)

Final Verdict -
Try Avoiding these iPads models.
Apple iPad 1-7, iPad Mini 1-4, 1st generation iPad Air 1-2
No. Yes, the budget is tight, but your sanity is important. An older iPad will probably do just fine, but if no one is willing to give up, look for a newer model. Many older iPads no longer receive software updates and feel much slower than phones and computers.

Mini 1-4 and iPad 1-7 have low resolution, pixelated screens and are too old. Forget buying an old 2014 iPad Air 1 or 2015 Air 2. These are too old. Which iPad do ya own?

How to check the model of your iPad  ?

There are many iPads in the world and you are thinking of selling or just looking for accessories and want to check , it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact model of iPad you own. They work on your iPad. Apple also doesn't name the slates sequentially like the iPhone, which just adds confusion. doesn't matter. Finding a model is easy.

Take a look at the information on the back of the iPad. On the back, next to "Designed by Apple in California," there should be a model number that starts with an A.
Visit this Apple website. Please search for the corresponding model number. We found your iPad model. (Pro Tip: Use the
browser's "Find on Page" feature and enter the model number to find it quickly.) Indicates if the keyboard cover fits. If a retailer is referring to a specific generation, this is Apple's current range.
